U-verse digital home phone plan is a voice communication service based on AT&T's IP network. It connects home phone, TV, and Internet together, giving creatively enhanced phone performance to a new level.
The offering requires the facilities of an initial Residential Gateway (RG) and Battery Backup Unit ("BBU") with an initial backup battery for needed electrical power to function. Customers can use home phones what they already have and also don't need to change a phone number to get the service. They are capable of enjoying such exclusive and unmatched functions as:
Voice mail messages - find contacts from any PC
Call History - view recent incoming calls on PC screen or TV screen
Safe Call Forwarding - transmit incoming calls to another number when battery backup power is despairingly low
Two flexible U-verse Voice calling plans are available for subscribers to select:
• U-verse Voice (SM) Unlimited - features unlimited phone calls applying to any location in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico for $30 a month
• U-verse Voice 250 - includes 250 minutes every month and is applicable to the U.S. and Puerto Rico for $25 a month
Plus, Consumers are allowed to add a second phone line which shares the primary line's calling plan. The additional charge for this service is greatly lower than the fee of either Voice Unlimited or Voice 250.
